Evaluation kit demos capacitive touch control

The YR8C33TKIT02 Capacitive Touch Evaluation Kit has a touch interface certified to pass the IEC/EN 61000-4-6 standard, which defines compliance to RF-based conducted noise immunity. The system demonstrates the ability to handle up to 15-V noise injection level over the full frequency range of 150 kHz to 230 MHz for all keys.

The kit is based on R8C/3xT-A MCUs that have a touch sensor control unit to handle scanning and processing functions completely independent from the CPU. The kit enables engineers to evaluate keypad, slide, and wheel configurations (including a 3 x 4 keypad) for touch sensitivity and noise performance on a single-board system.
