L-com Named Finalist in Three Categories of the American Business Awards
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – 5/24/12 – L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, has been named a finalist in three categories of the 2012 American Business Awards (ABA). All three are web site categories, honoring achievements and improvements to L-com.com over the past twelve months.
The American Business Awards presents Stevie® Award to top ranked businesses in four award programs. L-com has previously won gold Stevie awards for the Sales & Customer Service awards program both in 2011 and 2012. L-com was a finalist in the general ABA program in 2011, but did not win a trophy. This year, the judging rules of the competition have changed such that all finalists will receive a trophy, though they will not find out whether it is bronze, silver or gold until the award ceremony in San Francisco on September 17th.
The L-com web site's presence in award ceremonies has increased over the past year, following the redesign of the web site in July, 2011. On May 3rd, L-com announced that it had won a silver Communicator Award for its web site, and in January the Interactive Media Awards honored L-com's web site with a certificate of outstanding achievement. In October, 2011, the W3 Awards presented L-com with a silver award for web excellence.
“To be in the running with some of the top computer hardware, electronics, and manufacturing web sites is truly an honor,” said Jim Corcoran, L-com's Sr. Web Designer. “L-com has a tradition of leading our industry's presence on the web. With our site's many features and free tech resources, we are proud to be a preferred destination for users seeking information on wired and wireless connectivity products and look forward to continued improvements.”
