LVDS transmitter drives high res displays

The low power DS90C187 FPD-Link serializer delivers high screen resolution for tablet computers, ebooks, laptops, and portable display monitors. The chip has a fast 185-MHz pixel clock rate with dual LVDS ports and supports WQXGA LCD panels at 30 Hz and QXGA panels at 60 Hz.

The IC consumes only 90 mW when supporting the 1080p WUXGA outputs and uses a single 1.8-V supply. The 7- x 7-mm dual row QFN92 packaged device also supports reduced-swing LVDS that mitigates EMI. ($3.95 ea/1,000 — available now.)
