The TMPM061 Cortex-M0 based microcontroller is designed for smart metering applications and can replace a two-chip solution with an AFE. The low-cost device includes a power calculation accelerator and a three-channel 24-bit Delta-Sigma A/D converter, a 10-bit A/D converter, and a temperature-compensated RTC.
The IC has up to 128 Kbytes of flash and 8 Kbytes of RAM, a 9-channel/16-bit timer, an LCD display controller, a temperature sensor, a voltage detection circuit, and a WDT. It comes in a 14 x 14 mm 100-pin LQFP package and will operate from 1.8 to 3.6 V. ($3.50 ea/sample qty — samples available August.)
