32-bit MCU, basis chip meet safety standards
The SafeAssure Qorivva MPC574xP 32-bit microcontroller and system basis chip (SBC) MC33906/7/8 help automotive systems meet all Automotive Safety Integrity Levels (ASIL), up to and including the most stringent, ASIL D. The MPC574xP processor operates at 180 MHz at junction temperatures of up to 165°C and has dual cores in delayed lock step, 1.5 to 2.5 Mbytes of flash, 192 to 384 Kbytes of RAM, four 16-channel A/D converters, and a FlexRay module. The IC comes in a 144LQFP package and has a typical supply current of 400 mA.
The system basis chip is a multioutput dc/dc converter IC with one SPI, one LIN, and one CAN port, and a WDT. The device comes in a LQFP48eP package and features high EMC immunity and ESD robustness. (Price not given — samples available 3rd qtr.)
