Ideal for Edge QAM and CMTS (cable modem termination system) applications, the TAT2814A amplifier satisfies the DOCSIS 3.0 specification with more than 4 dB typical margin. By integrating two stages of amplification and a variable gain attenuator in a 7 x 7 mm 48-pin QFN package, the TAT2814A can greatly simplify CATV RF design by reducing the number of discrete RF components — reducing PCB board space by 50%.
Other solutions require up to five-times the PCB space to deliver DOCSIS 3.0 performance while consuming up to twice the electrical power. Features include less than 5-W nominal power consumption, a 45 to 1,003 MHz frequency range, 30 dB typical max gain, and 2.7 typical noise figure. It also offers low-reflection differential input/output stages. (Contact company for pricing — samples now)
