RF4CE controller aids cost & reliability
The GP510 ZigBee RF4CE network controller IC features integrated RF filtering that simplifies design and enables low cost set-top box or gateway remote controls. Designs can use simple PCB antennas requiring no shielding and a minimum number of external components.
The IC is fully compliant with IEEE 802.15.4, providing robust spread spectrum data communication with hardware accelerated AES-128 CCM security. High interference robustness combined with antenna diversity technology can result in twice the reliable range in a crowded wireless 2.4 GHz environment. Stand-by takes as little as 200 nA and xmit/receive takes 20 – 22 ma from a 2.1 to 3.6 V supply. (Less than $1 in very high qty – available now.)
