The HMC1090LP3E downconverting mixer is optimized for multi-standard diversity receiver applications where low power consumption and small size are required. This highly integrated RFIC features a wideband limiting LO amplifier and can be used in any 3GPP operating band from 700 to 3,500 MHz. Unlike conventional narrow-band downconverter RFICs, this part supports both high-side and low-side LO injection over the entire RF band.

The RFIC integrates LO and IF amplifiers, LO and RF baluns and a wideband passive mixer core with bias control. Features include a noise figure of 8.5 dB, an input IP3 up to +26 dBm, and dc power consumption of 0.9 W. The HMC1090LP3E is housed in a compact RoHS compliant, 3 x 3 mm plastic QFN.
