First RTC + battery + PMIC comes in single package
The EnerChip RTC CBC34123 and CBC34523 solid-state devices combine a real-time clock chip, EnerChip solid-state rechargeable battery, and power management integrated circuit (PMIC) in tiny 5 x 5 x 1.4-mm and 5 x 6 x 1.4-mm single-chip plastic packages, respectively. The CBC34123 provides greater than 30 hours of RTC backup, while the CBC34523 provides greater than 24 hours.
The real-time clock provides year, month, day, weekday, hours, minutes, and seconds based on a 32.768-kHz quartz crystal. Features include watchdog functionality, internal power-on reset, open-drain interrupt or clock output pins, and programmable offset resister for frequency adjustment. For the CBC34123, data is transferred serially via a SPI-bus with a maximum data rate of 6.25 Mbit/s. For the CBC34523, data is transferred serially via an I2 C-bus with a maximum data rate of 1,000 kbits/s. (Contact company for pricing and availability.)
