The SureStart Compact Magnum is a 250A low-voltage disconnect (LVD) used to electronically sense the battery level and conserve starting power. It prolongs battery life by preventing damage and eliminating dead battery service calls and lost time. The module protects onboard electronics and other equipment used by truck fleets, recreational vehicles, utility trucks, and automobiles.
The low-voltage disconnect fits within a 5 x 5 x 3–in. space and automatically detects if the system is 12 or 24 V. It disconnects when battery voltage falls below an established threshold, reconnecting when the battery is recharged. No action is required by the vehicle operator to protect the batteries. The LVD can be mounted in a harsh environments and is sealed to IP67 standards, featuring easy to connect sealed Deutsch-type connectors. (Contact company for price and availability.)
