Noise reduction IC aids microphone voice pickup

The BelaSigna R262 provides wideband single- or dual-microphone noise reduction for mobile phones, VoIP equipment, tablet computers, and two-way radios. It includes a DSP, voltage regulators, a PLL, a level translator, and memory. The WLCSP−30 or WLCSP−26 packaged chip takes only 17 mA active and 40 µA standby from a 1.65 to 3.63 V supply.

The IC features a novel approach to removing mechanical, stationary and non−stationary noise and preserves voice naturalness for greater voice clarity even when the talker is further away or not optimally aligned with the microphones – providing unmatched freedom of movement for users. The IC has 8 kHz bandwidth, de-reverberation capability, and 360-degree voice pick-up. ($2.00 ea/10,000 – contact company for availability.)
