Digital PoL modules need no digital bus

The NSM2P is the industry’s first self-compensating point-of-load (PoL) dc/dc module family that needs no digital bus communication. The module allow customers to access many of the same features as a fully digital PoL, with access via header pins that connect to a USB dongle and the digital power GUI.

The dc/dc PoL module allows testing and manipulating the desired functions as well as monitoring the results, and setting the desired fault management functions. In production, the engineering header is pulled and the specified parameters are loaded into the module by the manufacturer. The module provides cycle-by-cycle self-compensation, automatically balancing the trade-offs between dynamic performance and system stability. It features 93% efficiency at half load, has an input range of 4.5 to 14 Vdc, and a selectable output range of 0.6 to 3.3 Vdc. (Contact company for price and availability.)
