Digital signal controller targets power conversion
The dsPIC33FJ09GS302 digital signal controller is optimized for digital-power conversion applications and has a 16-bit core with 32-Bit multiply support. It also has a 2 Ms/s 10-bit A/D converter with eight inputs and three sample-and-holds.
The IC has 9 Kbytes of flash and 1 K of RAM. It takes 2.0 mA/MHz dynamic current (typical) and 500 µA power down current at 85°C. The device has three PWM pairs with 1.04 ns resolution and is available in a 28-pin SOIC, SSOP, SPDIP and QFN or a 5 x 5 mm 36-pin VTLA package. The IC also has a ±2% oscillator and dual high-speed comparators with programmable hysteresis and rail-to-rail operation. (From $1.54 each, in 10,000 – available now.)
