Cortex M3 based MCU targets low power apps

The Precision32 SiM3L1xx Cortex-M3 based 32-bit microcontroller family (SiM3L167, SiM3L157, SiM3L146, SiM3L136) features ultra-low power. They take just 175 µA/MHz in active mode and less than 250 nA in sleep mode with the RTC enabled at 3.6 V.

The 50 MHz processors feature dynamic voltage scaling, a high-efficiency dc-dc buck converter, a data transfer manager, and an AES encryption block. The chips run-time encoder and enhanced direct memory access can accelerate the processing of wireless protocol without CPU intervention. The ICs have up to 256 Kbytes of flash, pulse count and comparator inputs, a 12-bit A/D converter, and 16/32-bit CRC. A complimentary Eclipse-based IDE and AppBuilder includes capabilities for estimating power consumption and providing configuration guidance to achieve the lowest system power.
