PHY targets 100 Gbit Ethernet and OTN

The AVSP-1104 Vortex Gearbox family of PHY devices support 100 Gbit/s Ethernet and OTN connections with ten bidirectional 10 Gbit/s lanes and four bidirectional 25 Gbit/s lanes. It features demonstrated compliance with IEEE CAUI and various Common Electrical Interface (CEI) standards for driving a backplane, and copper or fiber cable.

Typical power is less than 250 mW/channel. The 320-pin fcBGA packaged chips programmable Decision Feedback Equalization (DFE) architecture provides low data latency and low jitter operation with a BER of 1e-20. (Price not given – available now.)
