CRO boosts performance

The CVCO55CXT-4812-4812 coaxial resonator oscillator (CRO) is a coaxial-based VCO with an internal proprietary frequency doubler. The part’s frequency doubling, 2X fundamental technology is claimed to reach new performance levels of lower phase noise and much lower harmonics over the competition, while achieving lower current consumption in the process.

Housed in 0.5 x 0.5 in package, the CRO operates at 4,812 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.3 to 4.7 Vdc and provides pushing and pulling of 1.5 MHz/V and 0.5 MHz, respectively. Features include a typical phase noise of -102 dBc/Hz at 10-kHz offset, an output power of 3.0 dBm typical into a 50 ohm load with a supply of +5.0 Vdc and a current consumption of 25 mA maximun.Second harmonic suppression is -30 dBc typical.(Contact company for pricing and availability)
