Low-power DSP uses in connected audio applications

This white paper addresses the challenge to add more features in peripheral device systems to improve sound and voice quality. Peripheral audio devices are moving towards adding more complex features such as AEC, SRC, surround sound, audio mix, and even wireless capability. In this paper, a base audio device system will be defined and then algorithms and software will be introduced to improve the user experience with better sound quality provided by the DSP industry’s lowest power DSP, the TMS320C5505/15/35.
