The Schroff 450/40 family of ATCA chassis from Pentair Equipment Protection is initially available with 14U, 14-slot models (11990-100 and 11990-101) designed to accommodate next-generation ATCA board requirements. The chassis deliver cooling capabilities of 400 W per slot in the front and 50 W per slot in the Rear Transition Module (RTM), with a 40-Gbit/s backplane and proven ATCA shelf management, mechanical hardware, and quality.
Key features also include dual-star topology with bussed or radial IPMI, 800-W electrical power for double-wide blades, redundant power-entry modules, a redundant push-pull fan tray cooling design for fault tolerance, and accomodation of two shelf managers with Pigeon Point ShMM 500.
