The SML-LXL8047UVC TitanBrite 2-W UV LED series consumes 50% less energy than CCFLs and 70% less than UV filament lamps. Available in a standard 405-nm wavelength (purple) with 18 lumens, it provides 2X the power output in the same footprint as standard 1-W high-power LEDs. The surface mounted design allows the 2-W UV LED to provide up to 90%, 50% or 30% space savings compared to CCFLs, UV filament lamps and through-hole UV LEDs.
The 2-W LED targets medical, security, water treatment, and food processing applications. The LED is available in an 8-mm round top dome SMT package and features a 100° viewing angle. The technology is priced at $7.00 each in production volumes.
