Engineers apply their scientific knowledge to develop solutions to technical problems in society. Thanks to engineers throughout history, today we can enjoy technologies such as light bulbs, cars, telephones, and computers.
I bet you didn’t know how many famous innovations were developed by engineers with pretty impressive beards. Take a look at the beards on the following famous engineers.

2. Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs
Wozniak and Jobs are the team that brought you the first ready-made computer and co-founded Apple Computer. (Look at the beards on those guys.)
3. Nikola Tesla
Tesla is the electrical engineer known for his contributions to the modern alternating-current electricity supply system. (He doesn’t have a beard, but he does have a sharp mustache.)
4. All of Microsoft’s original team (aside from Bill Gates and the ladies)

5. Leonardo da Vinci
Da Vinci may just have the most epic beard of them all. Although most famous for his exquisite artwork, da Vinci was also an engineer and inventor. In some of his paintings, he actually predicts the design of the helicopter.

Danish engineer who invented the fields of traffic engineering and queuing theory.
Joseph Swan
Swan is the British engineer who invented the incandescent light bulb even before the American Thomas Edison. (Edison didn't have a beard.)
Alfred Nobel
Nobel, a Swedish engineer best known for his invention of dynamite and who used his fortune to posthumously establish the Nobel Prizes, also had a great beard.
