The OCTEON III CN7010 and CN7130 processors are suited to a whole range of control and data plane processing applications. They have up to four 28 nm MIPS64 cores with full hardware virtualization, deep packet inspection, packet processing, security, and QOS capabilities.
The 7010 is a single core 1.2 Ghz version, while the 7130 has quad 1.6 GHz cores. They have a 512 Kbytes L2 cache, take only 2.5 to 7.0 watts, and come in a 27 x 27 mm TEBGA package.
