Vibration sensor system monitors machine health

The ADIS16229 iSensor wireless vibration sensor node combines a dual-axis digital MEMs sensor with advanced frequency-domain and time-domain signal processing. The sensing card pairs with the ADIS16000 gateway node, which supports up to six sensors using a proprietary wireless protocol, managed through an SPI interface.

The wireless card enables the remote monitoring of equipment in hard to reach or dangerous locations. The 47 x 38 mm PCB packaged sensor node has a 5.5 kHz resonant frequency, ranges of 0 to 1 g/5 g/10 g/20, a sample rate up to 20 ks/s, programmable wake-up capture times, a 512 point FFT, rectangular, Hanning, or flat top window options, and single-supply operation from 3.0 to 3.6 V. The sensor note costs $189 ea/1,000.
