New gen lighting-class LED targets portable products

The XLamp XQ-E LED family enables lighting manufacturers to reduce the size and total cost of their LED luminaires without sacrificing light output, efficacy or reliability. It targets portable, indoor directional, architectural and vehicle lighting applications. The new LED is packed into a package that is 78% smaller than previous lighting-class LEDs.

The new LEDs feature a 1.6 x 1.6-mm footprint and are available in both white and color configurations. The LEDs are built on the SC3 Technology Platform and characterized at 85°C. The XQ-E White LED is available in 2,700K to 6,200K color temperatures and offers minimum CRI options of 70 and 80. The XQ-E White LED delivers up to 287-lm at 3 W, 85°C. the XQ-E Color LEDs are available in red, green and blue. White LED samples are available now and color LED samples will be available in late October.
