Regulator reduces heat, space and component count

The MAX17503 synchronously-rectified dc/dc step-down converter integrates two MOSFET switches and eliminates an external Schottky diode. It operates 50% cooler than any other industrial high-voltage dc/dc converter, saves up to 50% space, and reduces component count by 75%. The buck regulator operates from 4.5 to 60 V and delivers up to 2.5-A output current.
