Thermoelectric air conditioners provide cooling to 170°F

The expanded line of ThermoTEC thermoelectric coolers are capable of sustained performance in environments with temperatures as high as 170°F. Select models can be configured to operate in ambient temperatures up to 190°F. The coolers target hot settings including deserts, or industrial applications such as those near blast furnaces.

Thermoelectric coolers offer significant advantages over traditional cooling methods such as compressor-based air conditioners. The units are NEMA 4X rated for indoor or outdoor use to provide protection against rain, sleet, snow, windblown dust and corrosion. In addition, solid-state electronics and a lack of moving parts (except for fans) means thermoelectric cooling systems are low maintenance. The units are offered in sizes from 200 to 2,500 BTUs.
