How durable are Nokia phones?

Roger Nilsson, a Nokia Lumia 800 owner from Sweden will argue that they can withstand a lot of damage.

On October 27, Nilsson posted a picture of his Nokia phone on the Nokia Sweden Facebook page. What was amazing about his phone was that he lost it in a lake 3½ months earlier. Then one day, during low tide by that same lake, he found his phone wedged between two rocks.

“Took it home and started to clean it as best I could, shells on the display, green goo around the entire phone, and some other stuff,” Nilsson wrote in his post (translated by Google Translate).

Nilsson then put it on the radiator to dry, plugged it into the charger, and to his surprise, found that the Nokia Lumia started up as if it was never stuck underwater for the past three months.

According to Nilsson, “everything works just like before.” Even his camera and battery were working normally.

I still wouldn’t recommend losing your phone in a lake to test this out.
