An advanced forward lighting systems (AFS), which adapts illumination direction when driving through curving roads, can be implemented by automobile manufacturers with the Ostar Headlamp Pro. It offers a specific LED component for this adaptive lighting application. The five chips of the LED can be individually controlled and switched on and off according to driving situations and the positions of other vehicles on the road.
Each of the five 1-mm2 each headlamp chips is specifically switched on and off via intelligent control. The control uses sensors and electronic components for high-beam light without glare by concealing areas within the light cone of the headlight according to the specific driving situation and with dynamic adaptation to the positions of other road users. The bright-dark contrast ratio is 1:65 between illuminated and non-illuminated chips. The chips are made from ThinGaN technology.
