The I/O Carrier Card provides easy access to the full 108 or 123 user I/O available from the MicroZed SOM, offering connections compatible with industry-standard hardware in the form of twelve Digilent Pmod™ compatible interfaces and with features on the I/O Carrier Card, such as push-buttons, power-supplies, LEDs, and an on-board oscillator. The I/O Carrier Card includes Maxim Integrated power technology that users can leverage to get a quick start on their power supply design.
“Using Avnet's proven, integrated I/O Carrier Card, designers can quickly link the MicroZed SOM into a wide variety of hardware systems,” said Jim Beneke, vice president of global technical marketing for Avnet Electronics Marketing. “It offers users access to the full spectrum of Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC capabilities for both prototyping and use in real-world embedded SOM applications.”
The I/O Carrier Card interfaces include two 100-pin board-to-board microheaders, a Xilinx PC4 JTAG header for download and debug, twelve Digilent Pmod-compatible interfaces for access to a maximum of 96 SoC PL user I/O, a Reset push button, four user-defined push buttons, two configuration push buttons, eight user LEDs, 4 user DIP switches, 2 Status LEDs, and a Xilinx AMS header. The I/O Carrier Card also offers a 100 MHZ on-board oscillator and a 1 KB 1-wire EEPROM on-board memory.
The I/O Carrier Card kit includes:
