The 2014 International CES promises to be as interesting as ever. The event is the world's gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and is scheduled to run January 7-10, 2014, in Las Vegas.
CES will feature the latest advancements in Ultra HD display technology in both exhibits and conference programming. Ultra HD is the next generation of display technology and delivers more than 8 million pixels. Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, Sharp, and Hisense are a few of the manufacturers who will be showcasing this technology.
CES's Eureka Park TechZone is a dedicated area showcasing budding startups and entrepreneurs. It will expand by 30% to feature more than 200 exhibits this year. Eureka Park will be located on level one of The Venetian.
Intel CEO Brian Krzanich will deliver a pre-show keynote address at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 6, in The Venetian's Palazzo Ballroom.
Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management of AUDI AG, will deliver a keynote address at. 8:30 p.m. on Monday in The Cosmopolitan's Chelsea Theater. Audi Night at CES will immediately follow from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Chelsea.
At 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, there will be a State of the Industry Address by Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association. Directly following this talk the President and CEO of Sony Corporation, Kazuo (“Kaz”) Hirai will deliver the opening morning keynote address. Mr. Hirai will bring his unique perspective and insights about the latest innovations occurring at the intersection of content and hardware. These addresses take place at The Venetian's Palazzo Ballroom.

CES will also have a larger digital fitness footprint. The fitness TechZone, located in the South Hall, has expanded to 11,500 sq ft with more than 75 innovative companies showing hundreds of products and services that use technology to make workouts and outdoor activities fun, safe, and effective. A full-day FitnessTech conference produced by LIDT will take place on Tuesday. The market for fitness technology is predicted to grow nearly 25% in 2014.
Another new TechZone will showcase the next generation of wristwatches and wearable tech. It will cover and drive the remarkable transformation of the standard wristwatch into a connected GPS, music player, health monitor, and more.
