The EDS show at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas

EDS is billed as the premier electronics distribution event. Why would a design engineer want to attend this event? Because here you will find all the resistor, capacitor, inductor, connector, wire, fuse, fan, relay, switch, crystal, antenna, instrument, and heat sink manufactures in one place — along with all their distribution partners. A place where you can accomplish a lot in a short time.

The show is May 5 to 8 and all official EDS activities will be held at the Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas. Virtually all of the manufactures will have their top technical sales and marketing people there and you can work on the entire supply chain for all your components. The Display Area (in the Belmont Ballroom, 4th Floor) is open Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The show is organized by the Electronics Representatives Association (EDA) and Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA). For the most part, this show does not include semiconductor manufacturers.

EDS is also billed as “The place where the electronics industry connects” and that's the objective for everyone attending. There is an EDS Connections Cafe on the exhibit floor where lots of people meet up. See http://edsconnects.com for more information — and check out the list of attending companies. There are more than 300 manufacturers registered this year.
