100 G fiber optic xceivers have CFP2 format

The 100G LR4 CFP2 client-side pluggable fiber-optic transceivertargets both native Ethernet and OTN transport long-reachenvironments. The CFP2 form factor transceiver is approximately 50%smaller and 30% lower power compared with deployed 100G CFP formatdevices.

The unit uses an indium phosphide distributed feedback laser(DFB) structure yielding 103.125 and 111.810 Gbit/s dual-rateoperation and is fully-compliant with IEEE 100G Ethernet 802.3a100GBASE-LR4 and ITU-T G.959.1 4I1-9D1F standards. The transceiversare fully qualified and in production.
