Mouser Supports iMake Event, Fostering Technological Innovation

“Maker movement” festival sponsered by leading engineering resource

March 18, 2014Mouser Electronics, Inc., a leading engineering resource and global distributor of semiconductors and electronic components, today announced its sponsorship and participation in the iMake Maker Fest, a family-friendly festival set for Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

This is the second consecutive year that Mouser will sponsoriMake Maker Fest, an event for all ages to create, invent, learn, think and be inspired by the creative, engineering-related impulse to make and re-make the everyday that is shaping the future.

The iMake festival, inspired by the growing Maker movement, will include interactive experiences and demonstrations. Makers of all ages will have the opportunity to investigate interesting circuitry, giving them an introduction into the workings of electronics and robotics.

Mouser sponsored last week’s FIRST® Robotics Competition Dallas Regional tournament March 13-15 at the Irving Convention Center and will sponsor the FIRST® Robotics Championships in St. Louis April 23-26. In February, Mouser was a major sponsor of National Engineers Week 2014, a five-day event, also at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
