IP67 enclosures are inexpensive and highly protective

PIP Series IP67 boxes provides waterproof protection of electronics for prices starting around $6. The pricing of the enclosures is said to be approximately 10% less than competitive solutions. 

Enclosure bodies are made from polycarbonate plastic enhanced with 10% fiberglass — a combination that improves rigidity and permits tight tolerances. The box cover can be either opaque of clear polycarbonate. Available in sizes from 3.15 x 1.18 x 1.37 in. to 10.04 x 4.92 x 0.25 in, the enclosures are rated to NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4x, as well as IP67 ( which requires protection against temporary immersion in water) and UL-94 V0 (flamibility), and are chemical resistant too.
