The Wii U is on its way to becoming Nintendo’s worst-selling console

According to online statistics portal statista.com, sales of Nintendo’s Wii U gaming console have been on the decline. In the 12 months ending March 31^st , the multinational consumer electronics company sold less than 3 million units of the console, down from the 3.5 million units it sold during its launch year.

Despite blockbuster software titles such as Mario Kart becoming available for the Wii U this year, the graph clearly shows it’s headed to being the worst-selling home console ever created by Nintendo. The company is expecting to sell only 3.6 million units of the Wii U, indicating it has little hope for its latest gaming system.
