The type HVMLS high vibration and HRMLS high reliability burn-in version aluminum electrolytic capacitors target commercial and military flight based power systems that require energy density, reliability, and vibration resistance. They come in flat stainless steel cans, one-half inch in height and 1.5 to 3.0 inches long, with a near hermetic precision welded construction, tested up to 80,000 feet.
The HVMLS version has ruggedized internal terminations and compressed can edges and is tested to 50 g’s of vibration. The MLS series comes in 220 to 47,000 μF, rated for 5.0 to 250 Vdc and –55 °C to +125 °C. HVMLS, HRMLS, and HVHRMLS versions are based on the MLS. An example 4,400 uF 40 V HV device is part number HVMLS442M040EK.
