Targeting real-time systems, the DS1007 PPC processor board uses a Freescale dual-core, 2 GHz QorlQ P5020 processor and a parallel interface to I/O peripherals for fast I/O access with very low latencies. The card has 1 Gbyte of DRAM and 128 Mbytes of flash.
There are two GbE ports, RS-232, and USB 2.0 ports – along with the fast 32-bit parallel I/O. The 340 x 125 x 19 mm board operates from 5 V at 9 A and 12 V at 0.8 A over 0° to 55°C.
