High power density voltage regulator module for CPU core power in enterprise switching reference design

TI - High pwr density voltage reg

The PMP7935 is a single-phase synchronous buck converter module rated for 0.9V output at 45A from an input voltage of 12V. It is used for CPU core power in an enterprise network switching application. The small 1.1″x0.65″ module delivers 90% peak efficiency and is smaller and less costly than equivalent multi-phase designs.  This modular solution lends itself well to data center equipment where heat generation is increasingly expensive and a high power density is required.

Features:
12V in, 0.9V/45A out (40.5W)
Sensorless current detection
90% peak effiency
Synchronous switching
Optimized MOSFETs

Parts Include:
CSD87350Q5D: Synchronous Buck NexFET™ Power Block MOSFET Pair
LM27403: 3-20V, Voltage Mode Synchronous Buck Controller with Temperature-Compensated DCR Current Sensing
