Lambda Research Corporation, a leading designer and publisher of illumination and optical design software, announces its Fall TracePro® Training Courses , September 16 – 18, 2014, at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Ghent, Belgium. Two sessions are planned; the first two-day session is the standard TracePro introductory training and the second one-day session focuses on teaching the optimization process using TracePro’s 2D and 3D interactive optimizers. These sessions are intended to immerse the user into the TracePro experience and ensure maximum productivity in the software’s optical system design environment.
TracePro is a powerful and sophisticated optical and illumination simulation and design software. TracePro streamlines the prototype to manufacturing process by combining a familiar and intuitive 3D CAD interface, advanced utilities, and interoperability with SolidWorks and other popular mechanical design programs. The latest release, TracePro v7.4, includes new features, such as improved photorealistic rendering using photon mapping to depict scenes, sources, illumination, and optical systems. TracePro’s unique rendering process is especially effective where multiple bounces occur in light pipes, lenses, and standard optical components, as well as for LED source color rendition. The v7.4 release also features a new repetitive tile feature to simulate the latest edge mounted DMD chips and an automated setup to simulate uniaxial solar tracking collectors in the solar emulator utility.
