If you grew up in the era of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then a real-life pizza thrower might just tickle your fancy.
What the Pizza Thrower will look like.
In honor of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film in theaters August 8 and Comic Con being held in San Diego July 24 – 27, Pizza Hut teamed up with Synn Labs to create the pizza thrower you may remember from the cartoon.
The full details are not yet released, but Pizza Hut has offered a teaser to get you excited.
The 12-foot-tall vehicle weighs almost two tons and was built on a pickup truck platform from about 20 years ago.
As you may remember, the toy shot out mini pizza discs and was a big hit in the 1980s, but now the Pizza Thrower vehicle can really fire pizzas (according to the company, at a distance of about 30 feet).

According to Pizza Hut, The Pizza Thrower can reach speeds up to 75 miles per hour and comes with an assortment of gadgets that the developers engineered. Too bad we don’t have more details until it’s finally unveiled.

In addition to the Pizza Thrower, Pizza Hut and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle partnership is delivering a high-tech offering to engage customers – this includes box toppers with augmented reality experience and a Ninja Turtle inspired hidden menu.
“There's no better place to bring technology of this scale to life than at Comic-Con,” said Jared Drinkwater, Senior Director of Marketing at Pizza Hut in a press release.
Synn Labs is a California-based organization that combines technology and interactive sciences.
