Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking the ADE7913 isolated sigma-delta ADC with SPI from Analog Devices. The ADE7913 features three 24-bit high speed Analog‑to‑Digital Converters. The ADE7913 is designed as an isolated, three-channel Sigma-Delta Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), and can be used for a variety of applications. Data and power isolation are based on Analog Devices’ patented iCoupler and isoPower technologies.
The Analog Devices ADE7913 isolated sigma-delta ADC with SPI , available from Mouser Electronics, features three-channel 24-bit isolated ADCs: one current channel and two voltage channels. One channel is dedicated to measuring the voltage across a shunt when the shunt is used for current sensing. The two additional channels can be used to measure voltages across resistor dividers. Optionally, one voltage channel can also be used to measure the temperature of the ADC by the on chip temperature sensor. The ADE7913 includes three channels: one current and two voltage channels. The current measurement ADC provides a 67-dB signal-to-noise ratio over a 3-kHz signal bandwidth, whereas the voltage measurement ADCs provide a SNR of 72 dB over the same bandwidth.
The ADE7913 allow up to four ADE7913 ICs to be clocked from a single clock source, and can synchronize between multiple ADE7913 ICs. Each device also features a four-wire serial peripheral interface (SPI) and an on-chip temperature sensor muxed with a second voltage channel.
Also available is the ADE7912 featuring two 24‑bit ADCs. The ADE7912 has only one voltage channel, but is otherwise identical to the ADE7913.
The Analog Devices ADE7912/ADE7913 is offered in a 20-lead wide body SOIC package, and its flexible design makes it very attractive for a variety of applications, including shunt-based polyphase meters, power quality monitoring, process monitoring, solar inverters and protective devices.
