The third-generation SandForce SF3700 flash memory controller IC features a mixed 80/20 (read/write) workload performance of up to 1300 Mbytes/s with a native PCIe interface. Versions are available with PCIe Gen2 (6 Gbits/s) x2 or x4 (AHCI and NVMe) supporting capacities to 2 Tbytes. It also has a SATA 6G host interface.
The SF3759 version supports SLC, eMLC, MLC, TLC, with 9 channels up to 400 MT/s, ONFI 2/3, Toggle 1 or 2. All versions have enhanced RAISE data protection, SHIELD error correction, intelligent block management and wear leveling, intelligent read disturb management, garbage collection, and data retention optimization – along with dual AES-256 encryption and power fail protection. The IC comes in a 17 x 17 mm FCBGA624 package.
