Mouser Electronics is now stocking the Qi Compliant Wireless Charging ICs from Panasonic.
These ICs support all equipment conforming to WPC 1.1 Qi standard of the Wireless Power Consortium, including portable audio, DSC, DVC, cellphone, and Smartphone devices.
The Panasonic Wireless Charging ICs, available from Mouser Electronics, feature low power consumption and low heat dissipation in compliance with the Qi charging standard. As an expansion to Panasonic's already popular Wireless Charging Control IC line, the new NN32251A Transmitter IC includes both a microcontroller and an analog controller in one package, reducing external components and saving board space. When used together, the NN32251A transmitter and AN32258A-PR receiver chips achieve an energy conversion efficiency of over 70% as a Qi compliant charger.
The NN32251A Wireless Power Supply Transmitter features a half-bridge (4-ch) or full bridge (2-ch) configurable gate driver. Other features of the NN32251A include accurate voltage and current monitor for inverters, Qi-defined output control by frequency or duty cycle, and a temperature detection circuit. This device is compliant with Qi version 1.1 of the System Description Wireless Power Transfer, Volume 1 for Low Power, defined by the Wireless Power Consortium, and is targeted toward WPC-compliant wireless chargers.
Also fully compliant with Qi version 1.1 is the AN32258A Wireless Charging IC. This receiver controller IC features synchronous full bridge rectifier control, a temperature detecting circuit, full charge detection with an adjustable current level, and switching control of an external power supply. Designers can use the AN32258A with any Qi-compliant wireless charger, and the device is ideally suited for a variety of low-power and wireless charging applications, including WPC compliant receivers, cell phones, Smartphones, headsets, digital cameras, tablets, and portable media players.
