40-W dc/dc converters feature ultra wide input

The MPV4060S family of 40-W dc/dc converters are designed for applications that require an ultra-wide input voltage range, such as photovoltaic equipment. Features include a 6:1 input range from 200 to 1,200 Vdc; 4,000 Vdc I/O isolation, outputs of 12, 15, or 24 Vdc, and 84% efficiency.

The converters provide ±1% line/load regulation, and protection from output overload and over voltage conditions. They also include an input under voltage shutdown and have continuous short circuit protection with autorecovery. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is greater than 300 kh. All models are packaged in an encapsulated 2.5 x 3.5 x 0.98 -in. case. Each convection-cooled device operates from -25° to +70°C.
