Who needs Jeeves when a Robot Butler exists?

Technology uses anticipatory software to learn user’s likes, dislikes, habits and more

Robot Butler

Many of us grew up watching The Jetson’s , and while the flying cars and talking appliances were pretty nifty, it was Rosie the Robot who really stole the show. The future has now arrived, and several visionaries have recently hinted at the creation of The Robot Butler, who they tout as “a personal assistant, valet and majordomo all wrapped in one polycarbonate package.”

The Robot Butler has been designed to take over most aspects of everyday living, learning via software that records interactions to then make anticipatory decisions over time. The Robot Butler updates automatically and even has the capabilities to order new accessories for itself.

As the connected home becomes a reality, the Robot Butler is able to adapt to new products in the home environment, connected or otherwise. The creators are even hinting at a future “babysitter mode,” in which Robot Butler could keep a watchful eye over children as well as a handyman function that help owners find the right tools.

Using a proprietary software system, Robot Butler reacts primarily to vocal commands through speech recognition as well as alternate input to a touchscreen on its chest.

At this time, there is no MSRP for the Robot Butler, but the company is conducting beta testing for certain elites (a la Google Glass). Anyone who is interested in learning more about the Robot Butler or more details on how to pre-order should visit www.therobotbutler.com.
