Near field communications chip targets automotive

The BCM89095 NFC chip targets automotive connectivity and is said to reduce power consumption by 60%, while requiring 30% fewer components than previous generation devices. The ICs high drive current maximizes the NFC field envelope to simplify pairing and it offers –40° to 85°C operation with data rates to 848 kbits/s.
