Happy 303 Day!

Happy 303 Day! March 3rd is an unofficial Colorado pride day that shares the same numbers as our famous area code 303. It’s a day that everyone at Advanced Assembly celebrates living and working in colorful Colorado.

303 Day
Why did we choose Colorado to be home for Advanced Assembly?

As long-time Colorado residents, Advanced Assembly’s founders knew the state offered many advantages for start-up businesses. In addition to a strong economy, Colorado quickly was becoming known for its concentration of high-technology companies. This had created a deep pool of employee candidates experienced in high-tech manufacturing services, as well as a built-in base of prospective customers. Another benefit of Colorado, was its location. Set in the center of the United States with a state-of-the-art airport, Advanced Assembly could send and receive deliveries from either coast within hours. This was especially important to the company’s operations, which relied on daily shipments of printed circuit boards and parts to fulfill its 3-5 day turn-time value proposition.

Additionally, the time zone allowed for the company to provide live service to customers on either coast. The availability of plentiful and affordable office space was a third important consideration. Although the company was initially a one-man operation, the owners knew they would eventually need a space that could grow along with their success. They found an ideal location along I-70 close to the airport. Finally, Advanced Assembly’s owners knew the quality of life offered by Colorado would be a constant draw for customers and employees.
