External power adapters meet Level VI efficiency stds

The SWI12-SC and SWI24-SC series of 12- and 24-W US wall power adapters meet the new Level VI efficiency standards. They meet the more stringent average efficiency and no-load input power requirements set to go into effect in February 2016. The US Department of Energy (DOE) Level VI standards aim to significantly lower the amount of power consumed when the end application is not in use or is no longer connected.

The SWI12-SC and SWI24-SC power adapters also feature screw terminal connections for designs that require flexibility beyond the standard 5-ft dc power cord, including security, home automation and smart applications. The adapters accommodate a 90 to 264 Vac universal input voltage range, are available in 12, 15, and 24 Vdc output options, and feature no-load power consumption less than 0.1 W. The single-output adapters cover both UL 60950 and UL 1310 safety approvals and meet the radiated and conducted emission requirements for FCC Part 15B Class B. Additional features include short circuit, over current, and over voltage protections.
