5 W precision current sense handles 100 A

The CSS4527 5 W surface mount current sense resistor is capable of handling up to 100 amps continuous current. The device offers tolerances of 0.5% to 5%, a TCR of 50 ppm/°C, and inductance of just 0.5 to 5 nH. 

The 0.45 x 0.27 inch chip comes in values from 0.0005 – 0.12 Ω and is AEC-Q200 qualified. It can operate at full rated power up to 100°C, and safely up to 225°C. From $0.77 to $1.50 each in full reel quantities.
