USB 3.0 smart hub IC has advanced features

The USB5734 smart USB 3.0 four-port hub IC enables new functionality and lowers BOM costs. A smart hub enables host and device port swapping and I/O bridging to various other serial communication interfaces, as well as port battery charging.

The chip has 8 Kbytes of RAM, 64 Kbytes of ROM, with an 8 byte OTP ROM and enables upstream direct bridging from USB to I² C, SPI, UART and GPIO interfaces, along with the ability to dynamically swap between a USB host and device.
