Connectors lock in to withstand high vibrations

The new PBV Series wire-to-board, crimp-style, disconnectable connectors are designed for optimum performance even in high vibration conditions. They incorporate both polarization and a secure locking feature designed to prevent contact stubbing and back-out when mated, suiting them for consumer, commercial, and industrial applications where vibration might occur.

The compact, low profile SMT connectors have a 2.0 mm (.079”) pitch and are available in both side and top entry configurations. The positive locking system is designed to fit inside the envelope of the header making it possible to stack the headers close together and still be able to release the positive lock. The connectors accommodate AWG #28 to #22 wires and are available in 2 to 15 circuit sizes rated 3 A (using 22 AWG) at 100 Vac/dc. Temperature range is −25°C to 85°C, including temperature rise when applying an electrical current.
